Company Background

Founded as a technology development company in 1989, Colorep's start was sponsored by CommTech International and SRI International. The company's research resulted in the issue of five patents for liquid toner technology.

In 2003 Colorep® shifted its focus to industrial printing applications. Shortly thereafter, the company filed four new patent applications; Hollow Dot, AirDye®, Composite Printing, and Time & Temperature, and completed the acquisition of BMT, leaders in new transfer process technologies.

By 2005 Colorep advanced its technology and began commercializing product applications with the pilot production of modular carpet, apparel, and in-store display items. During this dynamic period, three trademarks were filed for AirDye, ecobanner, and No Rules Wash.

In 2007, Colorep licensed AirDye technology to InterfaceFLOR, as well as two printers in the hospitality and apparel industry. The company also initiated a Life Cycle Analysis for its AirDye technology. In latter 2007, Colorep launched the ecobanner program with major retailers and completed the acquisition of TransprintUSA.

By 2008, Colorep had completed its capitalization and today stands poised for ever-growing success.
